Scent Name: Lavender Jivi started with a problem. Most of the skin care around us is full of crap: petrochemicals, synthetics, and active ingredients extracted and isolated from their plants. We were constantly turning to the back of supposedly natural products to find ingredients that were clearly produced in a lab, not in nature. Or we’d look online and find companies highlighting the few natural ingredients they use, while hiding or not listing the remaining unnatural ingredients (not a good sign). And the products that were natural were too expensive for us to use daily. So, we started Jivi to create a truly natural and affordable skin care option with ingredients we're happy to show off. All of our products are made by us, in the USA, out of 100% natural ingredients. They are both highly effective and safe enough to eat. Yep, you read that right. Skin is the largest organ of our bodies, and a lot of what we put on it gets absorbed into our bloodstream. So we decided that if we can’t eat it, we shouldn’t feed it to our skin. That means no chemicals, no parabens, and nothing synthetic. We’re rethinking skin care: from how we source our ingredients and formulate our products to how we bottle them (to avoid harsh preservatives) and get them to your doorstep. We are always looking for ways to create options for better health. We recognize that skin care is a luxury, and that there are people around us who are more concerned with what they can put in their bodies than on them. In almost every community across our country, people we interact with on a daily basis, co-workers and classmates, may be forced to make difficult choices: do I eat or pay rent? do I feed my family or get my insulin? As members of those communities, we want to be part of the solution. We partner with food banks across the country so that for every bottle you buy, we donate a meal, where you live, to a person in need. That way you get great skin and get to help improve the lives of people around you.

Love it
I had found this at Big Lots for $5 awhile back and I loved it so much. Was really surprised to see it on Amazon for $20 ????‍???? my skin loves it though. It neutralizes any redness in my face and makes it feel fresh. I also love The cucumber smell it has. My skin is sensitive and it does not cause any irritation, So I will probably keep buying it. Definitely recommend

Great!
I love this sunscreen, especially the cucumber scent. I have sensitive skin and am also sensitive to smells, but this sunscreen doesn’t bother me. I buy this for winter season when I spend a lot of time indoors, and don’t want a high spf. I have been a loyal costumer, however when I have purchased it in the past it was only $11. I’m having a hard time thinking to pay $18 for such a small amount of product, so unfortunately I think I will be moving on. But this is a great product! The rise in price has just caused me to try other products.

no irritation, ok for dry skin but better for normal to oil; could use higher spf?
I feel mixed on this. It is a light weight moisturizer that contains a small SPF rating of 12. That seems rather low. If it were higher, I would like this a lot more. As it stands, I need to add an additional layer of SPF to feel protected. But, it does make for a decent make up primer, and if I look at it as that, then I will continue to make a point to add my usual SPF. It seems gentle on my skin. I lean clear, dry and sensitive. While this is for oily skin, it isn't too drying feeling for my dry skin. But I definitely think it would be better for oily to normal skin (as they have in the description). But I bought it because.. I tend to have redness from non acne Rosacea. I deal with some pinkness and redness from visible blood vessels (telangiectasicas). The green tint helps to calm the look in a gentle, non obtrusive way, ie; my skin isn't green where there isn't redness. I use a think layer. The scent is lavender. I knew this going in, and was ok with it. It doesn't really both me, but it *may* bother some who are sensitive to essential oils. Again, no reaction from my skin from using this. So I think combined with everything else, it has been good on my sensitive skin. I like that it uses (5%) non-nano zinc oxide and micro algae. Safe for coral reefs and for you. (I just wish it had higher SPF) I also like that it is Made in USA (N.C.) and that every bottle donates a meal to Feeding America.

Great Vegan Sunscreen
Every summer I spend weeks or even months searching for a 'clean' sunscreen that meets my standards. I came across Jivi on sale and after vetting the ingredients decided to try it. Pros: Fresh, clean scent. Vegan, zinc sunscreen, mostly organic and natural ingredients. Easy to use pump, leaves very little overcast on fair skin. I have oily combination skin and did not experience any breakouts when using this. As a sunscreen works as intended. Cons: contains "emulsifying wax" which is a vague term and can have contamination concerns. Claims to be a moisturizer but I personally found it drying. Does go on a little thick but I find using several pea sized amounts works well. Overall, as a facial sunscreen it is the cleanest vegan option I have found and works well. My boyfriend and I went to a Christmas in July party which was mostly outside; I applied before the 45 minute car ride as well as one other time while there (three or four hours) and had zero burns. To reiterate I have fair skin that easily burns (thanks Irish heritage). As a daily moisturizer it isn't great so I would not recommend it for that purpose. However I have found a little goes a long way and so as a safe, natural sunscreen it is a very good value.

Ruddy Complexion's Friend
As a person with a ruddy (reddish) complexion, I've been a long time user of Eucerin Redness Relief Day Lotion SPF15. It has the greenish tinge that counters the redness. For reasons unknown it's almost impossible to find now. I searched online and found this Jivi Moisturizer. It's a bit more expensive but provides some SPF & the all-important green. Works for me. In sunny months I usually combine this with a stronger SPF day moisturizer like Rain or Shine or EltaMD.

10/10
As a woman who has used this before pregnancy, during and after pregnancy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STUFF. Husband loves the lavender scent. I only use a little and it covers my slinder/ chunky /swollen face throughout the phases of my life… takes me about 1-1 1/2 months to work through the whole bottle. Have gotten several complements on my skin since using it. SPF is an added bonus! I’m a mom of 4 and my oldest is 7. I don’t wear a ton of makeup, I sleep in it if I’m to exhausted honestly ????. My skincare is cheap and get I get a ton of compliments. I’m overweight and live off of coffee, pizza, and tacos???? ????????‍♀️… here’s my skin care routine if your minimal and trying to get by and understand I’m tired. Mornings Walmart, equates foaming facial wash and this WONDERFUL moisturizer. Then put on my makeup. Nights Walmart, equates foaming facial wash again and organic coconut oil for moisturizing I take a prenatal gummy sometime before lunch and I’m not consistent with it daily but I try to be(breastfeeding). And I take a probiotic with another prenatal pill of better quality, and a supplement of magnesium, calcium and D3(combined into one) in the evening. I do wear makeup daily, but it’s only foundation (cover girl ageless stuff) elf eyeliner and cover girl mascara. -I hope this longgg review helps you, I don’t mean to go off on a tangent about my own routine…But it took me a while to figure out what works for me, and doesn’t break the bank anddd is somewhat natural/organic.

Plastic covering opening , can’t get product out
I just repurchased this moisturizer for the third time , I really love it but this time it has a piece of plastic covering the opening where the product is supposed to come out. I can’t find anything about this except something saying that I’m not supposed to puncture it, but the moisturizer won’t come out at all . I’m not sure if I received a faulty product or if I’m supposed to do something else to open it but I can’t find an option to directly contact the seller .. Without this issue I would rate it 5 stars so if I can get it sorted out I will update my rating.
